Deep Waters

Life and all of its mysteries has a new and creative way to challenge you. Sometimes with rain, sometimes with waves, and sometimes it places you right in the depths of the ocean.

"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you" - Isaiah 43:2

How simple it is for us to forget just what it meant for GOD to lay HIS son down, and for HIS son to be WILLING.

Of course we all know the story from bible school, John 3:16, but can you imagine the pain, the struggle, the knowing of sacrificing yourself (IN ADVANCE) for the purpose of a loved one, or many in CHRIST'S case.

My body has been a sacrifice since the day I was born. Sacrificing what normal children were able to experience, every day.

Then, in 2011, I experienced an even bigger sacrifice. I experienced physical sacrifice. In July, I willing sacrificed the ability to turn my neck normally and endured horrible pain in the process.

Recently, I came across a saying which states, "GOD does not call the qualified, HE qualifies the called."

Although I cannot produce a human understanding as to why GOD would allow so much suffering to enter my life, I have learned to recognize it is for a purpose much greater than myself.

"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." - Albus Dumbledore

In the midst of our situations, trials, tribulations, and losses we have to be able to seek the source of life and grasp hold. For GOD, will keep HIS word. - Luke 1:45

And, during your season of rain, waves, or the depths of the ocean remember GOD is beside you. HE will stand with you and strengthen you. - 2 Timothy 4:17

Finally, know that all of the pain will pass, the struggles will end, the torment will stop and GOD'S glory will shine through every unique aspect of your journey.

"I am crucified with CHRIST; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but CHRIST lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of GOD, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20
