Created to Overcome!
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139: 13-16
God’s ways are not always our ways. Just this week, we received yet more medical reports concerning Miranda. The reports added multiple disorders to an already complex body. Throughout Miranda’s life, I have had the opportunity to decide, “Whose report will I believe?”
When Miranda was four years old, God moved on my heart with the following words, “Victory is not the end result – victory is in the walk.” Many of you who have heard me teach the word of God realize I live in daily victory, peace, and joy regardless of the circumstances. My ability to have peace and trust God no matter what the doctor reports may say comes from a personal relationship with Him. My life has been filled with physical, emotional, and financial mountains – yet through it all God has remained steadfast to His promises to me. He never promised in the Bible our lives would be perfect, or we would not face pain. In fact, pain is promised. However, He does give us the ability to overcome whatever obstacles we face.
All of our ability to overcome is due to our perception and truth.
Simply put, this life is temporary. When we understand God created us to love Him and others while completing our personal destinies, then we rest in whatever may be in our path. As I cast my cares, embrace my life, and love God and people – my life is blessed beyond understanding! My perception is my reality. In my perception, God is good and His mercies endure forever. He is faithful no matter what a day may hold. God created me in my mother’s womb with a specific design, which enables me to daily overcome any adversity with love, joy, and peace. My personality and individual talents/gifts were on purpose placed in my body for me to do whatever it takes to successfully walk through my life and conquer all obstacles. Through the eyes of faith, I know this life is only temporary and His purposes are eternal. My perception gives me power to rest in His ability and enjoy my life.
I do not know what your week has been like or what difficulties you may face. However, I can encourage you to seek His face, trust Him, and refuse to give up. With God, all things are possible! As I have gained more knowledge about Miranda, my heart is at rest due to prayer (and the prayers of others), trust, and perception. I have made up my mind to trust God, know He created me to endure and enjoy my life, and rest in His ability to bring His promises to my family.
Remember, God created you! You have a specific assignment on this planet no other person can complete. You have a purpose and God loves you deeply. It is His will for you to trust Him, know He loves you, and enjoy your life. Whatever a day may hold, God will carry you through. Adjust your perception – choose peace and know God is in control!
